My friend, Megan, is flat out fun and is always up for an adventure.

These images were from killing some time before photographing Galina and Dave’s engagement session.  Megan came along to help out and offer creative ideas, which was really sweet of her.  I get a kick out of the fact that her outfit matched the colors of the playground, a funny coincidence.

I like these images because they remind of me of just how good Nikon bodies and lenses can be. This is when my D90 was relatively new. In the beginning I used to shoot with the 18-105 kit lens and a 50mm f/1.4. There is very little Photoshop done to these images and I can just feel the clarity and "reality" in each of them. The final image in the set is from a shoreline nearby: a nice deadpan face from Meg that shows off the great quality of the D90 and 50mm 1.4.

Megan and I would shoot together a couple of more times over the years: Ormond Love and Megan
