She recommended that I check it out and I did just that. I grabbed my camera and headed south on I-5. San Onofre State Beach is at about the midway point between Los Angeles and San Diego. It’s a great beach and on this afternoon I was lucky enough to experience, first-hand, the development of a marine layer. Being from the east coast, we don’t see many, if any, marine layers at our beaches or lakes; nothing substantial anyway. On this afternoon, it took only a matter of minutes and the atmosphere when from bright and sunny to well, I’ll let the photographs show you.
