How unrude!

I was sitting at my desk at my coworking space on a Saturday afteroon, and I got a text out of blue from my friend, comedian, Eddie Furth:

A friend of mine has a show in The Belly Room at The Comedy Store tonight and is looking for recs for a photographer. Would you want me to pass along your info?

A few texts later it was revealed that the “friend” was Jodie Sweetin, and the “show” was, “Family Dinner with Jodie Sweetin.” You know Jodie Sweetin, right? Like…Stephanie Tanner from Full House. Sometimes LA can be so casual in the midst of being awesomely star-striking. I’ve learned over the years to keep it cool…mostly. (Now you get the heading of this page. I had to make one Full House reference, right?)

So, of course, I said yes, and in a few hours I was off to photograph one of the biggest child stars in TV history. No big deal…

Her comedy show has a simple and fun premise: invite some comedian frineds to join her for a “dinner” in front of a live audience where they will gab about food and any other topic that comes to mind. For this particular show it was a girls’ night featuring Jodie of course, and fellow comics Amy Miller, Maggie Maye, and Blair Socci.
⁣It wasn’t quite a full house since we had hurricane news in the air, but was still a great turnout and lots of laughs. (Alright, no more Full House jokes. Promise.)

Fun times, and glad Eddie reached out. I can now say from firsthand experience that Jodie Sweetin does not fit the description of the catchphrase that made her famous.
